Birthday Resolutions
Since I missed the timing because I was too lazy to make my New-Year Resolutions and didn't even bother to turn on the computer for the Chinese New-Year Resolutions, I figured I might just save them for the perfect timing: B-day~
After all, who said the resolutions were strictly for New Years? Actually, this might be even better than making a/the wish(es)! (just a side question, how many wishes do we get per year anyway? 1? 3? Or you get 1 and wish for 3?) Not to mention that this will be a good constructive attempt to keep me away from birthday whines that seems to start taking place 2 years ago.
In any case, here they go:
- Improve GMAT scores by 10+%. I still haven't given up on that @#%*& test. I took it, will retake it, and I have plenty of other (valid?) excuses that are hampering me from a continuous preparation for it. But we shall see each ther again, dear brick-like book.
- Travel to 2 new countries (hopefully from different continents). Ok, this was probably the most feasible resolution for 08, until some idiots messed up with my whole plan. I got the 2 new countries part checked, so I have to work on/think of some evil masterplan regarding continent repetition. Yet there's still some hope, and I shall continue having my fingers and toes crossed. Any change can happen. **cross fingers!**
- Study more, read more, think more, and try to obtain more personal growth. This one sort of complements the first resolution. It's only through reading, practice, dedication, and devotion when you can actually find mental growth. Honestly, I'm getting dumber by the day, and if I can tell that, I'm not in a good shape.
- Spend more time with family, keep closer contact with friends. This is something that I'm constantly telling myself to do, but I can fall back on the warmth of Ms. Lazy Fatass. So dear friend, if you had the patience to read it til this far, leave a message and I'll holler back.
- Get out of Taiwan! This is almost a MUST. I need to get out of here.
- Take more pictures. Embrace, seize, and savor every moment. Ok, shouldn't be a hard thing. There are plenty of 4GB free space in the memory cards for my cam, and there are many beautiful things that I want to capture the images in pictures. Altho... if only I had a new camara, I believe I'd be more diligent in taking more pictures.
- Figure out short term goals, sketch out long term goals. This should more than self explanatory. But in reality, it's easier said than done. Oh, this also includes "Find my career/future", let it be academically or professionaly. Either way i have to figure out what to do and how to accomplish that.
- Continue regular workout schedule and eat healthier. Doc says I'm healthy, "as long as" I do more cardio. What? WTH was that? Hm... maybe he's telling me to eat more stinky tofus?
- Restrain spending, buy only the necessary items. I'm trying I'm trying!!! I'm always guilty for my splurges, but never regret for the items bought. Maybe this is why I can't control myself at times. I need to cut my credit cards!
- Save more money for 2010 and other travel expenses. I'm trying!! I'm REALLY trying!!! But there are so many other places that I want to go, and so many other things that I haven't purchased, and so many other food I haven't tried! And... and...
- Write more blog entries. Ha! Doing it at this very same moment. So this one can be crossed out.
- Stay more focused (less multislacking). Yeah... right... Multislacking is my top hobby/passion.
- Find someone (???). Hm? I'm... trying? I have a personal bet for later this year, let's hope it'll all worth it. Ay ay ay.
Above resolution priority can vary according to mood swings. Some resolutions are more than welcome to happen first. Restrictions may apply. People with laziness, serious procrastination case, heard desease, sore legs, migrane and/or tooth pain should not try to attempt this at home.
Oh, please don't forget that there are only 18 candles on the cake. Thank you.
