i missed a chance coz i wasn't aware of its existence
wasn't sensitive enough to realize what was going on
altho if i look back, there were traits that i could have followed
months later, i'm left with the list of what-ifs
wrapping myself around it
sinking deeper and deeper in another illusionary dimension
enjoying the very last bits of what i was able to salvage
not the best of the feelings, but i don't mind these
what-ifs
now a different opportunity shows up
served on a plate, not that glamorous but rustic
with some polishing, it might glisen
i want to live that chance, but i feel that i'm pulling back
the price may not come cheap for many sacrifices would have to be made
and what comes in the future may be too overwhelming
am i ready? can i do it? what will happen?
another list of what-ifs runs in my head
i'm sick and tired of looking back and sighing to the woulda shoulda couldas
but when it's time to make a decision
i'm not convinced to give a definite choice
