tickets of my dream (??)

received an email from the committee of Vancouver 2010 (i faithfully signed up for their newsletters so i can stay updated with any news and postings of the upcoming Winter Olympics 2010 in Whistler/Vancouver), and it informed that the game tickets will be on sale one year from now

one year from now...

which means, i have to decide and plan my dream vacation by then?!
oh dear.

the games won't happen till 2010, and the tickets are already on sale in 2008, apparently, there's a strong demand for the tickets.

"Approximately 1.6 million tickets will be available for the Vancouver 2010 Olympic Winter Games with 100,000 tickets priced at $25. Half of all tickets are priced at $100 or less and Opening and Closing Ceremonies tickets, ranging from $175 to $1,100, will be offered at prices lower than the Ceremonies tickets at the Torino 2006 Winter Games and the Salt Lake 2002 Winter Games."

i've been asking and inviting people to tag along for the Winter Olympics, but since the date is so far away, i don't think anyone took it seriously. not to mention that the estimates for the trip might sum up to a ridiculous amount. not only the game tickets aren't cheap, the plane tickets keep on increasing (damn you OPEC and your $80/barrel), and the hotel accomodation, if plan to stay in the village, will cost me a fortune. if i could barely pay for a yearly MLK weekend trip up to Whistler, how on earth will i ever pay for 1 night at the Winter Olympics game?!

but i really want to go! attending the Vancouver 2010 (and be part of one Olympic Game in my lifetime) has been my dream for years! and now that they issued this noticed, it sounds like an ultimatum to make up my mind.
"To go or not to go? That is the question."

maybe sweettalking to jeff to let me crash at this place sounds like the best idea for now. =P

seriously, anyone wants/will go to the Winter Olympics Vancouver 2010 with me?!

some reasons that keep me going
